Financial Transparency

Our Commitment to Accountability

At the Open Language Initiative (OLI), transparency and accountability are non-negotiable principles. As an organization dedicated to supporting the public benefit sector, we believe our community—our members, volunteers, clients, and donors—has a right to know exactly how every resource is managed and deployed to fulfill our mission. Our financial policy ensures that all funds are used exclusively to support our core purpose: providing pro-bono communication services to other nonprofits.

Legal and Statutory Requirements

As a registered Czech non-profit association (spolek), OLI adheres to strict legal obligations as outlined in our statutes:

Non-Distribution of Profit

"Any profit generated by the Association shall not be distributed among its members, founders, or any other individuals, but shall be used solely to achieve the Association's public benefit purpose." (Statutes 6.1)

Use of Funds

All income, including membership fees and donations, is used "exclusively to fulfill its mission and to cover its operational costs." (Statutes 6.1)

Annual Report

The Statutory Body is required to "Prepare the annual report and budget for approval by the General Assembly" (Statutes 5.3).

Continuous Financial Reporting

To go beyond the minimum statutory requirements, OLI is committed to continuous transparency. We publish detailed financial summaries on a monthly basis, ensuring our community is always informed of our financial health and spending.
