Elevate’s First Week – A Strong Start!

by | Jun 17, 2025 | OLI Volunteers | 0 comments

We’re one week into the official launch of the OLI Elevate training programme, and it’s been a good one!

Our first Training Snacks, Translators’ Toolkit courses, and the lively conversations already happening in the Linguists’ Lounge discussion spaces have shown us the energy and engagement our volunteers bring to the table when it comes to furthering their careers in community with others.

In just one week, we’ve seen the Elevate platform come alive with thoughtful contributions and shared experiences. Volunteers are watching and interacting with the content – responding to prompts, reflecting on aspects of their professional journeys, and giving us some great and very helpful initial feedback on the courses.

New members continue to join the platform daily. With each login, Elevate is becoming exactly what we want it to be, that is a collaborative space for growth, learning, and connection.

We have been able to welcome many members of the Translation Mastermind community, a group of very experienced colleagues who were willing to move to Elevate to interact and share their many years of experience and wisdom with OLI volunteers and also get some fresh perspectives themselves in this new community.

What’s Next?

More Training Snacks and workshops are coming soon, so look out for those. And we will be posting regular prompts in the Linguists’ Lounge so come and join in the conversation there. We need all of you to make this platform a strong community.

If you haven’t joined us on the platform yet, now’s the perfect time to get involved, browse the content, create your profile (great for SEO visibility), and take that first step toward your professional growth.

Sign up as an OLI volunteer and get access to Elevate today at https://olangi.org/join-the-oli-community/volunteer/. Already volunteering with us? Go straight to Elevate at https://elevate.olangi.org.

Here’s to a strong start, and all the learning still to come.
