To Our Volunteers: How You Can Help Right Now

by | May 26, 2025 | OLI Volunteers | 0 comments

Dear OLI friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to start by thanking you for the incredible dedication, skill, and compassion you bring to OLI. Every day, your work helps break down language barriers for people in crisis-and we couldn’t do it without you.

Right now, OLI is at a critical juncture. As a new charity, we urgently need to grow our community to secure the support that keeps our work going. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your help beyond your invaluable translation and interpreting.

How you can help OLI right now:

  1. Share OLI’s mission:
Tell your friends, family, and professional contacts about the impact OLI is making. A personal story or testimonial goes a long way.
  2. Invite others to volunteer:
Do you know someone passionate about languages or humanitarian work? Please invite them to join our team. More hands mean more lives are touched.
  3. Spread the word on social media:
Visit our social media channels (see signature) and share our content or use the images provided here and make your own using our hashtag #OpenLanguageInitiative. Sharing these on your platforms helps us reach new supporters, donors, and partners.
  4. Tag us in your posts about published work:
When you share your translated work via social media, don’t forget to tag us using the #OpenLanguageInitiative hashtag.
  5. Connect us:
If you know organisations, companies, or individuals who might want to partner with or support OLI, please let us know – or introduce us directly.

Every action, no matter how small, helps OLI continue to provide life-saving language support to those who need it most. Thank you for being the heart of OLI. Together, we can ensure that no one is left unheard. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly at tanya@olangi.org.

With gratitude,
